Things to do

Visitors are welcome to the estate. There is a free car park just beyond Hethpool. We want you and everyone else to enjoy this special place but please remember it is a place of work for those who live and work there and for your enjoyment and safety and theirs please follow the Countryside Code.

Walking

Stunning, expansive and romantic - just some of the superlatives we could use to describe walking in this designated National Park.

Nearby locations

Surrounded on all side by truly outstanding locations - from golden beaches to Iron Age hill forts.

Cycling

A secret known to few, but delighted in by those who do. The private roads of College Valley makes cycling a safe and enjoyable way to experience this wild and wonderful place.

The Valley is wild and free and we encourage you to enjoy the digital detox that we can provide. From jumping in clean burns, to scrambling up the Hen Hole or taking a picnic upon Great Hetha, the valley offers a chance to connect with nature.

There is no vehicle access to the Valley unless you have purchased a vehicle permit. You can park at the car park at Hethpool free of charge and from there enjoy the valley on foot or via bicycle. If you're looking to stay longer, we have four holiday cottages and a bunkhouse available to rent.
