A better than perfect way to relax and rejuvenate, the feeling of wilderness and peace surrounds you at Coldburn Cottage. Everything here to make you comfortable; didn’t want for anything. Changeable weather added to the joy of it all……keeps you on your toes. In the space of one week we had swum in the North Sea at Bamburgh in glorious sunshine and tramped the Cheviot Hils in waterproofs with the wind gusting around us. We are returning home better people. Thank-you.

WOW! This is the most amazing place I have ever been to. The wildlife, scenery, walking, night skies (we saw so much, including shooting stars galore). We became abundantly aware of how insignificant us humans are when we looked up to the skies to see all those stars, it’s impossible to comprehend the size and timescales of it all.
We went up the valley to walk up the Hen Hole, it was the best walk I have ever done. We came back via Schil, next time we will take on the Cheviot! The views were stunning. Oh by the way the Mill is fabulous, we were very comfortable during our stay.
Thank you everyone who is involved in making this all possible for us to come and stay here. We will be back.

Our second visit to Dunsdale and just as wonderful as the first. A beautiful setting and lovely to be able to walk straight from the house. Mostly sunny, so lucky. Good walks in Harthope Valley, Wooler Common and Doddington Moor. Many thanks to Ros and we’ll be back in 2023!
Charlene was a fantastic host answering many questions very promptly. The venue and bunkhouse were perfect and very clean and tidy. everything was as described. Definitely coming again. Thank you.
The bunkhouse is in a beautiful location and is very well taken care of. It has all the facilities needed to accommodate a group of walkers, including showers, drying room and a kitchen with plenty of utensils. Bedding is supplied but bring your own towels. Highly recommended!
